Often people feel like there is little chance they will win a worker’s liability claim, especially if a few years have past. Taubman Law settled a personal injury claim for an Illinois resident when he was sitting in a bar and fight broke out causing him to be struck in the head by a negligent security guard. He received in excess of five figures.

Taubman Law in the last two weeks has settled three workers’ comp cases. Two were with state funded employers, the first one we settled for $150,000 and the second we settled for $30,000. The third was with a self-insured employer and was settled for $27,000. The injuries for these claims respectively were herniated discs in the lumbar area at multiple levels along with a psychological allowance, a herniated disc at L5-S1, and an injury to the right hand.

Filed a lawsuit for an injured plaintiff in a motorcycle accident when the insurance company was trying to deny $21,000.00 in lost wages.
